For the interior design of Club Reform, we were asked by Robi Interior a shell building at Quartier Blue in the center of Hasselt into a high-end Pilates studio with a completely unique identity.
The owners’ request was clear: they wanted to move away from the typical light, clinical interiors often found in wellness and Pilates studios. They wanted a space that exudes tranquility, yet feels warm, intimate, and powerful. An environment where the experience takes center stage even before the class begins.
Based on this vision, we created a dark and soft color palette in which brutalist elements and refined finishes strike a balance. The building’s raw concrete structure was deliberately left exposed and forms the authentic foundation of the interior. We contrasted this with warm materials, subtle textures, and soft lighting to create an inviting atmosphere.
A defining feature of the project is the signature Robi Interior ceilings with indirect lighting, which run through the space like architectural lines and create a warm, almost serene glow. Combined with the acoustic spray-finished ceiling in a deep black-brown shade, this creates a cocoon-like atmosphere that brings a sense of calm to the entire studio.
The stainless steel accents are also subtly incorporated into the interior—from the sinks to the refined details—enhancing the space’s minimalist, luxurious character. The sheer curtains, meanwhile, add a touch of softness and gently filter in the natural light, perfectly balancing the contrast between hard and soft elements.
The result is an interior that blends sport, tranquility, and design. A high-end studio that not only serves as a workout space but also feels like a place to slow down, recharge, and fully immerse yourself in the experience.
