TWO NAMES, ONE VISION FOR INTERIORS
TOGETHER, YOU FORM THE FACE OF A UNIQUE INTERIOR DESIGN FIRM. HOW DID THIS COLLABORATION BEGIN?
Rob: Actually, quite by chance, on a personal level. We got to know each other outside of work, but soon discovered that our worlds were very similar. And perhaps even more importantly, we complement each other in a way that feels very natural.
Robbie: We just clicked. We share the same taste and vision, but each bring something different to the table. That's what makes us a complete duo. What binds us together is respect. For each other, for our team, for our customers. For us, that's the basis of working together.
WHAT EXACTLY IS THAT DIVISION?
Robbie: I am primarily involved in the design, technical development, and site supervision. For me, it is essential that the basics are right: the lines, the spaces, the structure.
Rob: And I focus on curating the right objects, furniture, art, and decoration. I look for pieces that not only complete an interior but also give it character.
Robbie: But it's not just about tasks; our characters also complement each other perfectly. Rob is the dreamer of the two of us, the daredevil, the jumper. He pulls us forward, thinks big, and sees possibilities where others might hesitate. I'm more of a realist, someone who deals in facts. I keep him grounded. Together, that creates an ideal rhythm: Rob pulls, I brake, and that's how we always find the right balance to run our business.
Rob: And that only works because we respect each other. I admire Robbie's level-headedness, and he appreciates my daring. We complement each other instead of working against each other.
YOU HAVE BOTH WORKED FOR WELL-KNOWN COMPANIES. HOW DO YOU LOOK BACK ON THIS PERIOD?
Robbie: I worked at one agency for a long time, and although I learned a lot there, I ultimately found myself in an environment that prevented me from growing further. That wasn't always easy, but it did make me stronger.
Rob: I've had different experiences, most of which were very positive and taught me a lot. Only at my last employer was there a manager who kept the team in a toxic atmosphere. There, I mainly learned how I don't want to do things.
Robbie: And that's perhaps the biggest lesson. We don't look back on it negatively—on the contrary. It has enriched us and confirmed how important values such as respect, honesty, and trust are to us. Today, we carry those principles with us in everything we do, together with our team and our customers.
HOW DO YOU MONITOR QUALITY WITH SO MANY PROJECTS?
Robbie: Quality is our foundation. That's why we give our contractors a score after every project. A contractor who scores a six twice, or scores below par once, is dropped. That may sound harsh, but it ensures that everyone is held to the same standard.
Rob: For us, it doesn't stop at delivery. I even follow up on deliveries personally. We can't afford to work out a project so carefully and in such detail, only for it to go wrong because someone with dirty feet steps into the house. Everything counts, right up to the very last moment.
YOU OFTEN SAY THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO BECOME A BIG OFFICE, BUT YOU DO WANT TO BE HIGH UP ON THE LADDER. WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT?
Robbie: For us, it's not about size. We don't want ten or twenty employees, but rather a small and close-knit team. What matters is that every project receives the same level of care.
Rob: We started our company from scratch, without any financial help. Everything we have achieved is the result of hard work, passion, and perseverance. And we will continue to do so. We are ambitious, but not arrogant. For us, growth means taking it step by step, with class, serenity, and respect for everyone who crosses our path.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
Rob: We often talk about sleek and minimalist, but our interiors are never cold. We combine luxurious materials with warmth, refinement, and soft shapes. It has to be stylish, but at the same time livable and homely.
Robbie: What sets us apart is that architecture and interior design form a single narrative. Minimalism always has a human touch: rounded lines, tactile materials, subtle details. The result is timeless and serene. We create interiors in which people feel respected and at home.
YOU WORK IN BELGIUM AND ABROAD. HOW IMPORTANT IS THAT INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE?
Robbie: It enriches us enormously. We work in Belgium—mainly in Limburg, Antwerp, Flemish Brabant, and on the coast—but also in the Netherlands, France, Spain, Switzerland, and Greece. We have also signed up for projects in New York. Every country and every client requires a different approach, but our signature remains recognizable.
WHO ARE YOUR MAIN CUSTOMERS?
Robbie: Very diverse, but often entrepreneurs. People who have built something themselves and understand what hard work and dedication mean.
Rob: Exactly. We notice that they recognize themselves in our story: we also started our company from scratch, with passion and discipline. And because discretion is a priority for us, we can't say much about it—but we have already been able to do projects for very successful entrepreneurs, both at home and abroad.
Robbie: What's important to us is that we always treat these people with humility. We have enormous respect for what they have achieved, and they often inspire us. That leaves us with a very good feeling afterwards.
Rob: And whether it's a large villa or a single custom kitchen, every customer receives the same attention. Respect and trust are always the most important things for us.
YOU ALREADY HAVE YOUR OWN TABLEWARE LINE. IS THAT A DIRECTION YOU WANT TO EXPLORE FURTHER?
Rob: Absolutely. The tableware reflects our style: sleek, timeless, yet inviting. It feels special to create something tangible that embodies our vision. In the future, we want to expand this step by step, but very carefully. We would rather have a few iconic pieces that suit us perfectly than a lot.
FINALLY – WHAT ARE YOUR DREAMS?
Robbie: For us, it's all about refinement. We want to become more recognizable as a brand while remaining true to our small-scale nature.
Rob: And above all: continuing to do what we love to do. We built this company out of passion, and you can feel that in everything we do. Our dream is for people to recognize us as creators of serene, stylish living environments—without bluffing, without excess, but always with respect and discretion.
